As your child gets past the
infant stage, expect for a more challenging adventure. It is exciting
to see him take his first step and say his first words. And when
he masters the skill of walking, then running, you are out to do
a lot of chasing. It is always fun to have a child around. Although
it is tiring, it brings a lot of smiles in the family.
The toddler stage is probably the busiest time in raising a child.
It is crucial because it has a huge effect in building his character.
This is the child’s formative years. Most of what he is taught
during these years will stay with him.
During these years, it is important that you guide your child. Allow
him to explore new things but be there to direct him. Teach him
about what is right and wrong and stay firm with the rules you give.
Toddlers are very smart, if they realize that they can get away
with something wrong they did, they’ll do it again. Teach
your child how to behave properly but still let him be a child.

be able to nurture and develop further their abilities once they

Your child will also appreciate constant communication at this stage.
Communicating does not mean having a heartfelt serious conversation
at all times. Talk to him while you are playing. You can gently
tell him your dreams for him and what he is capable of. He may not
know enough words to respond to what you are telling him but he’ll
be able to understand it as he grows. Introduce him to fun educational
nursery rhymes as well. He will enjoy the fun music and it will
be a big help in improving his vocabulary. This is one of the simple
joys in your toddler’s life and will be more memorable if
you are there to share it with him and to play with toys

Provide him with a loving environment. Although it is assumed that
a toddler do not understand what is going on around, he does. He
feels when his mother is angry or if his parents are involve in
an argument. It is important that parents keep the adult issues
to themselves. Be mindful of your toddler’s presence because
even if it is just something petty, it will have a heavy impact
on him.
Being a parent is not easy and raising a child is very challenging.
You take on the responsibility of bringing up a child and you will
always feel responsible on how he will turn up. Being there during
his formative years will greatly matter. This is the best stage
to instill values on your child. A character built early on will
be difficult to sway. Although it is never too late to be there
for your child, it always spells a huge different if you have been
there for him to build his foundation, just do it with toddler
outdor toys.
